Pink Wall is one of the most famous photo spots in Mexico City. But it's actually not just about the Pink Wall itself.

It is part of the legendary Camino Real Polanco Hotel, which was built for the 1968 Olympic Games and is still one of the most important pieces of modern Mexican architecture.

If you're in the Chapultepec or Polanco area, it's worth making a short stop here. The visit itself will take a few minutes at most.

Is it worth the drive?

I probably wouldn't come all the way across town for one photo.

But if you're visiting Chapultepec Castle, the National Anthropological Museum or Paseo de la Reforma, the Pink Wall is a nice stop along the way.

In fact, the hotel itself may be more interesting than the wall.

The Camino Real Polanco is considered one of the icons of modern Mexican architecture, and inside you'll find courtyards, fountains and artwork that make it more of an architectural landmark than a run-of-the-mill hotel.
