Since 2005, Lantau Island has been home to Hong Kong Disneyland, a large theme park where you can easily spend the whole day.

Attractions and things to see at Hong Kong Disneyland
The park offers attractions for all ages.
Various shows are held here, and well-known fairy-tale characters wander around the park, with whom you can have your photo taken. There are, of course, plenty of restaurants and souvenir shops to choose from. You’ll be spoilt for choice and won’t know where to start.
The park is divided into eight themed areas. In the centre stands Disney’s Castle of Magical Dreams.
- Main Street, U.S.A. – the main part of the park, styled to resemble a 20th-century Midwestern American town.
- Adventureland – attractions modelled on a tropical jungle
- Fantasyland – the most popular section of the park, featuring several pavilions and interactive sci-fi attractions
- Tomorrowland – attractions offering a vision of the future
- Toy Story Land – attractions inspired by *Toy Story*
- Grizzly Gulch – a Wild West-themed town with a rollercoaster
- Mystic Point – the mysterious Mystic Manor
- World of Frozen – the world of Frozen, featuring the attractions ‘Frozen Ever After’ and ‘Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs’

Admission – prices and ticket types
With a park ticket, you do not pay any additional admission fees for standard attractions and shows. Food, souvenirs and any additional services, such as Disney Premier Access for priority entry to selected attractions, are charged separately.
The price of a one-day ticket depends on the day chosen. The park has four price tiers; weekends and public holidays are usually more expensive.

Tickets are sold both online and at the ticket offices, but as you need to book a specific date, it’s more practical to buy them in advance.
Opening hours
The park is open at slightly different times on different days.
It usually opens at 10.00 or 10.30 and closes at 20.00 or 20.30.

How to get there
Hong Kong Disneyland is situated on Lantau Island, between the city centre and HKG Airport.
MTR
The quickest and easiest way to get to Disneyland is by metro.
From the city centre, Kowloon or Tung Chung station near the airport, take theyellow ‘Tung Chung’ line. Travel to ‘Sunny Bay’ station, where you’ll change to the short pink ‘Disneyland Resort’ line.
Fare prices from Hong Kong station are 27,10 hkd when using an Octopus Card.
The Disneyland Resort Line runs every 15 minutes and the yellow “Tung Chung” line runs every 7 minutes. The journey to the city centre takes approximately 30 minutes and you can find a journey planner on the MTR’s official website:mtr.com.hk.
Buses
Several bus routes also serve the main entrance.
- B5(Citybus.com.hk) – fare 6,10 hkd, runs to Sunny Bay station and the HZMB terminal, where you can change to buses heading for Macau or Zhuhai
- R8(Citybus.com.hk) – fare 7,10 hkd, runs only to the “Lantau Link Bus-Bus Interchange” stop, where you can change to other routes heading for Kowloon
- 36(nlb.com.hk) – fare 10,20 hkd, runs to Tung Chung station
- R33(lwb.hk) – fare 21,10 hkd, runs to the Tuen Mun district
- R42(lwb.hk) – fare 23,50 hkd, runs to the Tai Wai district
Accommodation
Would you like to spend more than one day at Hong Kong Disneyland? For maximum convenience, you can stay at a hotel within the resort. The hotels are not located inside the theme park itself, but a free shuttle bus runs between the hotels and the park entrance for guests.
- Disney’s Hollywood Hotel – a themed hotel for families who want to make the most of their stay at the Disney resort.
- Disney Explorers Lodge – an adventure-themed hotel with gardens, ideal for a longer stay near the park.
