Handwerkhof
Just opposite the main station you will see one of the towers of the fortified Old Town of Frauentor with a small fortress. Inside you will find several restaurants, but mainly a small craft museum with half-timbered houses, craft demonstrations and many small bistros and cafes.

Inside the Frauentor Fortress, you'll find two streets surrounded by small half-timbered houses with typical wooden beams and countless romantic-looking restaurants and shops. Here you can buy souvenirs and traditional handicrafts.
Everything is in the medieval spirit of the 14th to 15th centuries, there are no tacky advertisements and the atmosphere is very intimate.
Entrance fees and opening hours
Passage through the Handwerkhof is free and the gates are open 24 hours a day.
Most shops open around 9:00 and close between 18:00 and 20:00.
