Nuremberg is not a particularly big city and has very good public transport, so it doesn't matter too much to choose a specific location. You will always be in the centre within 20-30 minutes even from the furthest outskirts of the city.

However, the most popular location is around the main station, where you will find the most hotels, and you can even walk to the historic centre in 15 minutes.

Expect the lowest prices for smaller budget hotels between 60 eur and 80 eur per night in a double room. Tips for 3 cheap and well rated accommodations in Nuremberg:

Even in Nuremberg you can indulge in luxury in 5* hotels, and at relatively reasonable prices, at least when compared to larger European cities.

Accommodation prices in Nuremberg

Nuremberg is average on the price scale of European cities. Prices here are not low, but neither are they exorbitant. The cheapest places to stay are always midweek (especially Tuesdays and Wednesdays), and the most expensive are at weekends.

Regular 2* to 3* accommodation costs between 60 eur and 80 eur for a double room per night, while larger hotels and multinational chains will offer prices between 100 eur and 150 eur per night for 2.

However, expect prices to rise significantly, by a factor of 2-3, during the Christmas market period from late November to late December. During this period, we definitely recommend not to leave your accommodation booking to the last minute, but to choose your hotel at least a month before your trip.
