Bavaria's second largest city, Nuremberg, known in German as Nuremberg, is one of the most popular tourist destinations.

Nuremberg's beautiful medieval historic centre with the Kaiser's Castle is a sight to behold and can be walked through in an hour and a half, but you could easily spend an entire weekend there. One of the city's main attractions is its famous Christmas markets, which are among the best in the world.

Nuremberg is also a great place to bring the kids, thanks to the beautiful zoo with a dolphinarium and the Playmobil theme park just outside the city limits.
