Ffryes Beach

Ffryes Beach

The lesser-known beach at Ffryes Bay is the perfect place for a relaxing swim without the big resorts at your back and the crowds of cruise ship tourists that flood the more well-known beaches from time to time.

Popular with locals and tourists alike, Ffryes Beach is lively yet has a quiet relaxed atmosphere.

Like most beaches on the island, Ffryes Beach is covered in fine white sand with comfortable access to the sea. Unlike neighbouring Coco Beach, the conditions are not so good for snorkelling, the bottom is not indented and there are a few bigger waves (but still very safe).

The big advantage of Ffryes Beach is the mature trees that line the entire beach and provide welcome shade. There are also tables and benches scattered underneath, perfect for snacking. You can buy drinks or simple meals at the local impromptu snack bars, and there are more upmarket restaurants at the ends of the beach.

You can drive right up to the beach and park for free in the spacious car park. There is no bus service to Ffryes Beach, but this will take you easily to neighbouring Darkwood Beach.
