Sisimiut Airport in a nutshell
The Greenlandic town of Sisimiut has its own airport, 4.5 km north of the centre. The airport serves as a great starting point for treks along the Arctic Circle Trail.
Currently, Sisimiut Airport is only served by Air Greenland's domestic flights to Nuuk GOH several times a day and also to Kangerlussuaq SFJ and Ilulissat JAV on average 4-6 times a week.
The airport terminal is very small and the check-in process is a matter of 2 minutes.
Just arrive at the airport 40 minutes before your flight.
Like all other regional Greenlandic airports, Sisimiut has no pre-flight security screening.
