Ilulissat Airport in a nutshell

Icefiord, views from the yellow route

Ilulissat is the second busiest airport in Greenland and is located 4 km from the centre of the popular tourist town of Ilulissat.

Air Greenland has an important regional base here for flights to Nuuk and many destinations in the northern part of the country.

Ilulissat is also served by Icelandair' s direct international service from Keflavik Airport, with convenient connections to Europe.

A new runway is currently under construction, which will also allow larger Boeing 737 aircraft to land. A new terminal is being built at the same time. The new airport is scheduled for completion in 2026.
