Cathay Pacific Lounge at London Heathrow Airport

Noodle bar

The Cathay Pacific Lounge is one of 4 oneworld lounges in Terminal 3 at London Heathrow Airport. We visited it as part of our lounge tour during November 2025.

Cathay Pacific is generally rated as the best of the lounges. What do we think of it?

Lounge opening hours and location

The lounge can be found 1 minute walk from the security checkpoint between the lounges next to the Qantas Lounge (far left).

You must take the elevator to the 2nd floor to reach the lounge. The lounge is marked with a "C".

It takes up to 25 minutes to walk to the furthest departure gate from the lounge, so plan your departure well.

  • 🕒Open daily from 5:30-21:00
  • 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The busiest times are 9:00-10:00 and 15:00-17:00

Seating and atmosphere

At first glance, what strikes me about the lounge is the very pleasant interior decor in shades of brown, dark green and grey.

It gives off a very cosy and calming impression.

The lounge is divided into two main parts. The first room upon entering contains a noodle bar and many comfortable seats at the dining tables, but which can also be well used for working on a laptop.

The second part of the lounge is mainly suitable for relaxing on comfortable armchairs of various kinds.

You can also sit in the armchairs with a view of the tarmac. While the American Airlines Admirals Club lounge gives you a better view of the standing aircraft, the Cathay Pacific lounge offers the best view of the runway.

Great noodle bar and other food

The Cathay Pacific Lounge is known for its great noodle bar with Asian cuisine.

You order your food at the bar and either get it straight away or the staff will give you a beeper that will beep when your food is ready (usually takes no more than 5 minutes).

There are always several soups to choose from, fried chicken with rice or other meats, and of course the typical dim sum dumplings.

The current daily menu is always written right at the bar.

The noodle bar is open throughout the opening hours of the lounge.

In another part of the lounge you will find the classic buffet - there is always a choice of 4 types of hot food. We weren't in the lounge until the afternoon, so I don't know what the breakfast offer is.

However, the daily menu was tasty and included chicken drumsticks, boiled chicken with spinach, pork and rice and vegetarian samosa. The samosa in particular brought back memories of my recent visit to Mauritius!

Soup is also available all day.

The cold food is not too rich and includes a small platter of cheese and ham and mini sandwiches or tortillas.

There is a slightly better selection on the sweet pastry front - the chocolate chip cookies with raisins were great.

In the fridge you will find, for example, panna cotta or bowls of fruit and vegetables.

Drinks on offer

Soft drinks in the form of small cans can be found in several fridges across the lounge.

In addition, there are always two types of juice in the fruit and sweets fridge.

Drinking water is also available, both with and without bubbles.

There are containers of infused water at the bar.

There are coffee machines in various places in the lounge, and a fairly extensive selection of Jing teas.

At the bar you can have better coffee prepared, but it is mainly at the bar that you will find a wide selection of alcoholic beverages.

For example, there is an interesting selection of cocktails or sparkling wines. The selection of hard liquor is also rich and there is also beer on tap.

Showers and other facilities

In a lounge aimed primarily at long-haul passengers, showers are a must.

You'll find them right at the entrance to the lounge, and during peak times, there can be a wait-list of 15-30 minutes. If you go to the showers, be sure to bring your boarding pass, which is required to check in.

If all showers are currently occupied, you will be given a pager that will flash when space becomes available.

The showers are clean and spacious.

I appreciate the ample amount of drawers that are at most of the seats and tables. However, there are only British-style outlets and USB-A connectors.

And that's it. There are no children's play areas, smoking areas or other services in the Cathay Pacific Lounge.

Conclusion and my rating

Cathay Pacific Lounge na has, in my opinion, the nicest environment and most importantly a great noodle bar as well as the best selection of alcohol of all the oneworld lounges in Terminal 3.

If you want to enjoy good Asian cuisine and have a view of the runway, Cathay Pacific Lounge is the obvious number one choice.

  • Runway view
  • Spacious and clean showers
