An oasis of calm and beautiful views
A large part of Little Island is covered by a beautifully landscaped and rugged park with many flower beds, trees and benches.
At the highest point of the park is a beautiful view of the Hudson River and lower Manhattan.
In total, there are around 120 trees and over 350 different species of plants growing on the island.
Amphitheater and wind chimes
The island is also home to a theater stage with an auditorium for nearly 700 people.
In the summer season from May to September, various theatre events or concerts are regularly held here almost every day. A schedule of all events can be found on the official website littleisland.org/our-venues.
Right at the entrance to the island you can have fun on the chime - a bouncy sound board.
