Koh Phangan in a nutshell
Koh Phangan is the island that most people associate with the legendary Full Moon Party.
But the reality is quite different - alongside wild nights, you'll find some of the calmest beaches in Thailand, jungle-covered mountains and an atmosphere that is often much more authentic than on neighbouring Koh Samui.
We toured all of Koh Phangan - from bustling Haad Rin to the secluded coves in the north, where all you hear in the evening are cicadas and the sea. And that's its greatest charm: you can choose whether you want a party, a digital detox, or the perfect mix of both.

The island is perfect for 3-5 days, but feel free to stay a week or more - especially if you're looking for a slower pace, beautiful beaches without the crowds, and a more authentic Thailand than the more touristy places.
