The Peace Museum is housed in the magnificent 1925 Beit al Amani building and is located on the southern edge of Stone Town.

Currently the building is not a museum, only a library, so the interior is not worth a visit.

However, if you have an extra hour in Stone Town, be sure to take the short walk here from the centre. The beautiful building in the middle of a small square is well worth a visit.
