Sopot Beach and Pier
The spa town of Sopot lies right next to Gdańsk and boasts the most beautiful beaches in the entire Gdańsk-Sopot-Gdynia Tri-City.
Be sure to visit on warm summer days; in winter, however, there’s no point in making a special trip to Sopot, as many establishments remain closed.
Beach facilities and the Sopot pier
The beach here is truly beautiful. It is covered in fine, light-coloured sand that is very pleasant to walk on, and the entry into the sea is gentle and safe.
Although Sopot beach is situated right in the town, for most of its length it is separated from the houses by a belt of mature trees, giving the impression of a completely natural setting.
An exceptionally popular attraction is the Sopot Pier, a popular viewing walkway extending 200 metres out to sea. At its end, you’ll find a restaurant and a mooring for small yachts.
On the beach itself, you’ll find many other refreshment stalls, whilst the town centre boasts plenty of restaurants and shops. Sopot Beach is one of the liveliest and most visited seaside destinations in the whole of Poland.
