Marunouchi Brick Building

Tokyo Station is a huge complex of railway and bus platforms, shops, ticket offices and restaurants.

The station is partly underground and partly above ground.

While its eastern part is a modern glass building, the original red brick station building stands in the western part in the Marunouchi area.

The station was opened in 1914.

Access to the interior

The historic building still serves its original purpose today.

Inside you will find ticket offices, shops, departure boards and turnstiles for access to the platform.

The interior of the historic Marunouchi building is therefore also accessible free of charge.
