Edo-Tokyo

One of Japan's largest museums is dedicated to the rich history of Tokyo, formerly known as Edo.

The monumental concrete structure of the museum building itself is striking.

What will you see at the museum?

The main attraction of the museum is the huge number of models - historical buildings, entire cities or even mannequins of important figures in Japanese history.

The museum is really big and we recommend you set aside at least 90 minutes to visit it.

Admission and opening hours

The museum is currently closed for extensive renovations and is expected to open in March 2026.
