Pisa in a nutshell
There are few cities in the world that are famous for a single landmark known to travellers across the globe. Pisa in Italy, with its famous Leaning Tower, is certainly one such place. You’d be hard-pressed to find other major landmarks or places worth visiting in Pisa, but that doesn’t mean Pisa should be just a stopover for a few hours.
On the contrary, thanks to its location in the heart of Tuscany and at a major railway junction, Pisa can serve as an excellent base for trips to many destinations in the immediate and wider vicinity.
A city that, at first glance, seems to require only a few hours’ visit will ultimately become a place where you could easily spend 10 days straight, and thanks to daily excursions, you’ll never get bored.
