The cheapest accommodation on Kauai

The economic and transportation hub of the island

Lihue serves as a clue and a prime place to stay for many tourists. It is certainly a strategic choice, as it is in Lihue that you will find the largest concentration of large supermarkets such as Wallmart and Safeway, as well as many restaurants and fast-food outlets.

Lihue is also strategic from a transport point of view, as it is the location of all the island's car rental companies and all the bus lines depart from here.

Accommodation in Lihue

Stay in Lihue if you want to live in a strategic location with plenty of services. There are several hotels in Lihue, including cheaper ones with prices starting from 110 eur per night in a 2-bed room, which is very low for Kauai.

Some of the cheapest accommodations in Lihue include the Kauai Palms Hotel or the Tip Top Motel.

Kalapaki Beach

Lihue is not only the economic hub of the island, but you can also enjoy a great day out at the beautiful local beach, Kalapaki Beach. It's located in a tightly enclosed cove of low cliffs, providing safe swimming in calm seas with no waves or undercurrents.

The beach is covered in fine golden sand and surrounded by many restaurants and beach bars. Although a significant portion of the beach belongs to the Marriott's Kaua'i Beach Club resort, the entire beach is free and open to everyone, not just hotel guests.
