The small uninhabited islet of Bongoyo lies about 4 km off the mainland coast and is accessible in 35 minutes by boat from Dar es Salaam. If you have an extra day in town and want to spend it by the sea, we definitely recommend Bongoyo Island. Sinda Island is a small uninhabited island south of Dar es Salaam about 30 minutes by small boat from Kipepeo beach. On Sinda Island there is only a small sandy beach with a few sunbeds (approx 15 usd for a set of 2 sunbeds and an umbrella) and a small snack bar.
