Putzu Idu Beach

Putzu Idu

Look for the charming beach of Putzu Idu in the north of the Sinis peninsula in the Sardinian province of Oristano, near the town of the same name. A narrow strip of fine sand mixed with small quartzite pebbles separates the clear waters of the Mediterranean Sea from the Manna Salina.

Putzu Idu beach provides a quiet place to lie by the sea and a very gradual entry into beautifully clear waters.

Along the beach you will find several refreshment stands and sunbed and umbrella hire.

An alternative option is the longer Sa Rocca Tunda beach in the resort of the same name about 2 km north of Putzu Idu.

Accommodation

Smaller hotels and holiday homes can be found in the two nearby towns (Putzu Idu and Porto Mandriola), both of which are a 10-minute walk from the beach.

However, due to the limited supply you have to expect higher prices, which in high season range from 120 eur per night for 2.

Transportation

The beach is easily accessible by car, where you can park along the road for free. The nearest major town is Oristano, 24 km away.

There's also a 418 bus stop right on the beach, which will take you to Oristano or Riola Sardo, from where you can continue on to other connections throughout Sardinia.
