Perivolos

Perivolos

Perivolos beach is officially the longest beach on Santorini with a length of almost 3 km and is directly connected to Perissa beach, which together forms a continuous strip of flat sand more than 5 km long. It is located in the small resort of Agios Georgios, but part of it extends into Perissa.

Beach and swimming

Perivolos is slightly quieter than neighbouring Perissa, but that's where the big differences end. This beach too is covered in black volcanic sand, is long and wide enough and doesn't get crowded even in high season. The entrance to the sea is quite steep, but the waters are calm and large waves are rare.

Almost the entire length of Perivolos beach is lined with sunbed and umbrella hire, various water activities and a small road with many tavernas, bars and restaurants. Overall, the environment is very quiet, but at the same time with full tourist facilities.

Accommodation Perivolos

There are slightly fewer accommodation offers than in Perissa and they are also more expensive. In high season, expect prices between 2,000 and 128 eur per night in a 2-bed room. We pick the best accommodation near Perivolos beach:

  • Villa Eleftheria - A beautiful and well rated aparthotel right on the beach with prices around 73 eur
  • Atlantis Beach Villa - a beautiful 3* hotel with a swimming pool and a large garden between Perissa and Agios Georgios right on the beach

How to get there?

There are buses to Agios Georgios on the Fira - Perissa route about every hour, the price to Fira is around 2,20 eur.

It is also easy to get here by car, you can park anywhere for free.
