Cities and sunsets

If you want to live on the edge of the cliff where Santorini's largest cities and towns are concentrated and enjoy incredible sunsets, choose from these destinations:

Fira (Thira) - a romantic town with plenty of balconies and viewing terraces, it attracts a wide range of entertainment venues and shopping opportunities. It's the island's capital with by far the largest selection of hotels on the island. Prices here are relatively low thanks to competition, starting from as low as 55 eur per night.

Oia - is built in typical Cycladic architecture and attracts tourists with its spectacular views and sunsets. Due to the town's popularity, accommodation prices here are the highest of any on the island.

Megalochori - a romantic resort surrounded by vineyards, ideal for wine lovers and wine tasting. Nearby are two small beaches, Plaka and Thermi, which can only be reached on foot.

Imerovigli - like Oia, it attracts with its beautiful views and sunsets. However, the seaside activities here are not ideal.

Beach resorts

Kamari - this resort is one of the largest and liveliest. You'll find it on the east coast near the airport. It is ideal for all ages, except families with young children. You will find most accommodation and smaller hotel resorts here with prices starting from 59 eur per night.

Perissa - the second most famous resort is a quiet town with the longest beach on Santorini, where you will always find your privacy. Prices in Perissa are above average and a night in a hotel comes to about 73 eur.

Vlychada - a tiny resort in the very south of Santorini attracts with a beautiful natural beach with limestone cliffs and a very quiet environment with only a few tavernas and hotels. Prices start at 62 eur per night. Nearby is the larger town of Akrotiri, where the range of accommodation is a little wider.
