Christmas markets in Tallinn

Christmas markets have a centuries-long tradition in Estonia. A decorated Christmas tree has been evidenced in front of Tallinn Town Hall as early as 1441.
In addition, Tallinn's Christmas markets are much more likely to have fairy-tale snowy backdrops than more traditional Christmas markets in central Europe, such as Vienna, due to their location far to the north.
