Where to buy
Before you travel
Jakarta itself is certainly not a destination I would recommend.
However, it is the best starting point for exploring the beautiful island of Java, which is still nowhere near as touristy as Bali. Prices here are still ‘Asian’, i.e. significantly lower than in Europe.
What’s more, Java offers stunning mountains, jungles, and cities full of sights such as Yogyakarta, which I visited two years ago and which absolutely blew me away!

Jakarta
Although I wouldn’t recommend Jakarta as a main destination, it’s nice to stop off here for even just a day between arriving from Prague and flying or travelling on to other parts of Java.
Indonesia in general
