If you don't want to apply for an e-visa, for example, because you can't take and upload passport and face photos, you can purchase a visa after you arrive in Indonesia.

Passport validity
To travel Indonesia, the passport must still be valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Indonesia.
However, there is no time limit on how long the passport must be old before traveling to the country. You can easily travel to Indonesia with a brand new passport.
The 6-month passport validity rule applies to all travelers and all types of visas.
Other documents
In addition to a passport valid for 6 months from the date of entry into Indonesia and an arrival card, you must also show an airline ticket or ticket from Indonesia.
This rule, especially for short-term e-visas of 30 or 60 days, is usually not checked, but it is worth following just to be safe.
For example, the cheapest bus ticket from Pontianak to Kuching, Malaysia, costs 270 000 idr (available online via traveloka.com) and the cheapest one-way tickets on airasia.com to Kuala Lumpur or Singapore can be purchased from 25 usd.

I don't know how long this obligation is valid for, but you need to fill in an Arrival Card (like in Malaysia, you need your passport details and the address of your accommodation) no later than upon arrival. There are various terminals and QR codes at the airport that direct you to the form, and once filled out, you get a QR code in the mail to show the Customs officer after passport control. Just beware, I got to a page that looked just like the official one, but at the end it asked me to pay about $60 USD. So watch out, don't pay that amount, even the official said it's a scam and the Arrival Card is free.
Thanks for the info, I'll add it to the text.
Does the form have to be filled out with prescription drugs? On the foreign forums/groups, it says yes everywhere, but I don't see it written anywhere on the form. It only says "drugs" but it's for weapons, explosives, and such. And when I want to put it in, it says the name of the item, value, etc. Nothing that corresponds to drugs.
I can't advise here, I was carrying some medication, but I didn't fill anything out anywhere and no one looked for anything further.
Hello, can I please ask if I can apply for the e-visa without a ticket? It is mentioned in other documents and also on the official visa page, but since we are going with a travel agent (it worked out better at the last minute than without), I guess I will have the tickets a week before departure.
I flew to Jakarta a few days ago and did visa on arrival, done in about 3mins at the "visa on arrival" counter and then went to the automated e-gate and was through in seconds. Only then I had to fill out a Customs form.
Hello, I am unable to obtain a D1 long term visa through the official website, or rather, when I create the account (which is required), after filling in the details and pressing the "submit" button, everything is deleted and I start again with the same result. I even read somewhere that the D1 visa can no longer be obtained online, it just remains on the menu... Anyway, the classic B1 visa works as always. That said, I don't really see the difference (even financially) between taking a B1 visa 6 times a year ( with a 60 day extension online) and the annual D1 visa which is multientry anyway and leaving the country 6 times in that year is required anyway... my question is directed at proving flights (tickets) out of the country.
If I get a B1 visa for 30days and I know on the spot that I will be extending to 60, do I have to prove the ticket that I am leaving the country in 30 days and then not use it and buy another one for the expiration of that extension to 60 days, or do I just buy the one really leaving in 60 days? Because the application as such is for 30 and the form requires proof of ticket out of the country and the extension is done on the spot... hopefully my question is clear :D
