Getting from Rhodes Airport

Rhodes

Rhodes-Diagoras Airport can be reached by bus, taxi and car rental.

Transportation with travel agencies

If you have bought a tour to Rhodes with a travel agency (flight + accommodation + airport transfer), you will pick up your luggage and walk out of the transit zone.

There are desks for each tour operator right in the arrivals hall, where you check in and a delegate will give you your coach number.

The bus will take you directly to your hotel at no extra charge. The tour bus stand is approximately 50 metres to the right of the terminal.

Car rental

If you want to explore the island of Rhodes crosswise and visit even the less frequented beaches in the south, practically the only option is to go by car.

Many local and multinational car rental companies are based at the airport. Prices for a week in high season start at 200 eur, and in low season (spring and early autumn) at 100 eur.

The main car rental companies have their counters right in the arrivals hall, while some smaller rental companies are spread out in their offices around the airport.

These rental companies always offer a free shuttle service from the terminal to their office and back.

We've also travelled around Rhodes by car and have written up our tips in our guide:

Taxi

There are no mobile apps like Bolt or Uber on Rhodes, or you can only order a regular taxi through Uber for the same price as if you had flagged one down on the street.

The taxi stand is right outside the arrivals terminal.

The price is calculated according to the meter and unfair practices towards tourists are quite rare in Rhodes.

An indicative price list is always displayed at each official taxi stand.
