The airport area is modern and relatively small. The whole airport is very small and modern, with a small, modern and modern airport, and it takes about 5 minutes to walk from one terminal to the other.
In the summer season from May to September, there are very limited seats and the transit area in particular is often overcrowded.
Queues for security checks can be more than 25 minutes.
Transfer between flights
Rhodes is not typically a connecting airport, however Aegean Airlines can offer connecting flights from Athens or Thessaloniki to the small islands of Kastellorizo, Karpathos or Kasos.
However, the terminal does not have a direct transfer option and therefore you always have to leave the transit area.
You walk out to the public area, go up to the 1st floor for security check and walk back to the transit area.
In case you have a connection on one ticket (mainly with Aegean Airlines), your luggage will be transferred automatically.
Opening hours - overnight in the terminal
The Rhodes Airport terminal remains open 24/7.
However, overnighting inside the airport is extremely uncomfortable as there are no comfortable seats or quiet areas.
