Internet and Wi-Fi

Wi-Fiis free and available without time restrictions throughout the airport. Connect to the “Fraport Free” network.

If you are using an EU SIM card, you can make calls and use data in Greece at the same rates as in your home country.

Dining options

There are quite a number of restaurants at the airport, but most of them are located beyond the security check, where you can enjoy the services of, for example, the AirCanteen canteen or fast-food outlets such as Burger King, Domino’s Pizza and Starbucks.

In the public areas of both terminals, you’ll find a total of five cafés and snack bars offering a fairly wide range of sandwiches, baguettes, salads and sweet treats, as well as drinks, of course.

Most restaurants open at around 5.00 am and close around midnight.

Shopping and shops

Conversely, there are very few shops in the terminal, and these consist almost exclusively of duty-free shops.

In the public area of Terminal 2, there is a Hudson newsagent and a RHO Kiosk selling souvenirs and drinks.

Just about 550 metres from the terminal, along the pavement in the centre of the village of Paradeisi, you can shop at aregular supermarketcalled “AB Food Market” (open daily from 8.00 to 21.00, and on Sundays from 9.00 to 17.00 only).

ATMs and currency exchange bureaux

ATMs are located in the arrivals hall. The fees for withdrawals using foreign cards vary depending on the ATM as follows:

• Eurobank – 1,80 eur
• Piraeus Bank – 3 eur
• ATM Euronet – 4 eur

The currency exchange bureau is located in the arrivals hall and offers an extremely unfavourable exchange rate.

However, you can pay by card for taxis or the bus to Rhodes town (operated by DES Roda).

Lounges

Rhodes Airport has two VIP lounges. Both are located past security on the 2nd floor, above the departure gates for the Schengen Area.

If you are travelling outside the Schengen Area, you can still use the lounges, but you will need to allow for an earlier departure before your flight, as you will still need to go through passport control.

Neither lounge currently has an agreement with any airline, so if you are flying in business class or hold Gold or higher status in a loyalty programme, you are not entitled to free entry.

Free entry to both lounges is available to holders of Priority Pass, Lounge Key, Dragon Pass and Revolut with the Ultra plan (getRevolut here).

Luggage storage

You won’t find any luggage lockers or a traditional luggage storage facility at the airport. Nor do any hotels near the airport offer luggage storage.

Drinking water

There are no drinking fountains at the airport, and the tap water in the toilets is not safe to drink!

Vending machines

In the public area of the terminal, you’ll find vending machines selling drinks and sweets in several places.

Luggage wrapping

A service for wrapping luggage in protective film is not available at Rhodes Airport.
