Internet and wi-fi

Wi-fi is free and unlimited throughout the airport. Connect to the "Fraport Free" network.

If you use an EU country sim card, you can call and use data in Greece at the same prices as in your home country.

Otherwise, get a Greek data e-sim quickly and easily at airalo.com.

Dining options

There are quite a number of restaurants at the airport, but most of them are located after security, where you can take advantage of the services of AirCanteen or fast-food outlets such as Burger King, Domino's Pizza or Starbucks.

In the public area of both terminals you will find a total of 5 cafés and snack bars with a fairly wide range of sandwiches, baguettes, salads or sweets and of course drinks.

Most of the restaurants open at around 5:00 am and close around midnight.

A full list of restaurants is available on the airport website.

Shopping and shops

There are very few shops in the terminal and they are practically only duty free shops.

The Hudson newsagent and the RHO Kiosk souvenir and drink shop are located in the public area of Terminal 2.

Just about 550 metres from the terminal, along the pavement in the centre of the village of Paradeisi, you can shop at a regular supermarket called "AB Food Market" (daily 8:00 am to 9:00 pm, Sunday only 9:00 am to 5:00 pm).

ATMs and exchange offices

ATMs are located in the arrivals hall. The prices for foreign card withdrawals are as follows for each ATM:

  • Eurobank - 1,80 eur
  • Pireaus Bank - 3 eur
  • ATM Euronet - 4 eur

The currency exchange office is located in the arrivals hall and offers an extremely unfavourable exchange rate.

However, taxis or the bus to Rhodes Town (DES Roda) can be paid by card.

Lounges

Rhodes Airport has two VIP lounges. Both are located after security on the 2nd floor above the departure gates to the Schengen area.

If you are heading outside the Schengen area, you can also visit the lounges, you just have to allow for an earlier departure before your flight as you still have to go through passport control.

Neither lounge currently has a contract with any airline, so if you are flying business class or have gold or higher frequent flyer status, you are not covered for free entry.

Free entry to both lounges is for Priority Pass, Lounge Key, Dragon Pass, Revolut with Ultra plan holders (get Revolut here).

We visited both lounges in person and wrote an honest review.

Luggage storage

You won't find luggage lockers or traditional luggage storage at the airport. No hotel near the airport offers luggage storage either.

Drinking water

There are no drinking water fountains at the airport and the tap water in the toilets is not drinkable!

Vending machines

There are vending machines selling drinks and sweets in several places in the public area of the terminal.

Luggage wrapping

There is no baggage wrapping service at Rhodes Airport.
