SAS Scandinavian Airlines in a nutshell

Scandinavian Airlines, more commonly known as SAS, is the national carrier for three countries at once. It is a joint project of Denmark, Sweden and Norway with bases in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo and smaller cities in Scandinavia.
SAS will move from Star Alliance to rival SkyTeam in 2024.
SAS operates a fleet of around 120 aircraft in blue and white Airbus A320 (all series), Airbus A330 and Airbus A350. On less busy routes, SAS also flies Embraer E190, Bombardier CRJ-900 and ATR 72 aircraft.

So I bought tickets from Prague to Kiruna next year for a weekend of aurora hunting. Our joy didn't last long, SAS changed the tickets not only in time but most importantly shortened our stay from 3 to 1 night.
Completely incomprehensible to me when they still offered the tickets ( at different times than I had ) on the original dates.
I decided to cancel the tickets according to the offer in the email, but the website did not show the reservation at all , where it would be possible to cancel or other actions ( only my trip where it would be possible to add services ) .
I had to download an app where it was possible to cancel .
It puzzles me when the flight calendar offers a flight x times a day, why did he postpone our flight by two days......
When a flight is postponed or cancelled the system automatically rebooks it and sometimes it can be completely pointless. If you wanted to fly, all you had to do was call them and they would change the flights to the way you wanted them...
For the writer, the idea that he could contact the airline is apparently incomprehensible...
@Jox , the writer is a moron who, with his level of English, wouldn't dare to make a phone call in that language.
Of course, I looked for other ways to contact customer support, unfortunately CHAT was only a robot AI that only gave general information and I couldn't find any other option besides phone......
I was annoyed by the non-functionality of the site , the inexperience of changing tickets ( I don't know if the original price remains ?) , the loss of the short connection and thus the total flight time - which was one of the motivations ( including the price) to buy this ticket.
Those so afflicted usually have no trouble finding a victim with the appropriate language to govern, who will solve the problem for them. 🙂 Otherwise, you can connect to a live agent on chat and there are also translators.
It's just that stupid... I canceled award tickets, according to the site the fee was 25 euros per ticket, I was fine with that. Finally out of laziness I cancelled in the app and no fee, miles back and taxes the next day on the account👍.

Hi, does anyone have any current experience of whether Flying Blue benefits are recognised after SAS joined Skyteam? I have Silver and should therefore have baggage allowance, which the SAS app doesn't show me. So I don't know if they don't recognize it or if they haven't linked the systems yet. 🤷

So the key is to make sure it's not on the Smart Tariff.

So in the tariff it's SAS Go Light, which is the cheapest one. It's just that on Skyteam, even the cheapest fare should have baggage. It works like that on KLM, AirFrance, Korean,... but I don't know if it works on SAS anymore.

On paper it should be so, but practice is obviously different, even for people with elite plus... The sure thing is a machine gun, so call or write.
You had a SAS GO Light, that ticket has an exception to it, when you have SAS GO Light ticket then your benefits from the bonus program
you are using will not provide you with extra baggage for free. In this case you needed to pay for the baggage.
This is what the Skyteam official website say:
"One additional bag on top of bags included in ticket conditions (except 'Go Light' Tickets).
The weight of the extra bag mirrors the weight of the bag included in the booking class in case of 'piece concept'. 20kg in case of 'weight concept'."
Link to that website: https://www.skyteam.com/en/frequent-flyers/
We look forward to welcoming you on board again when given the opportunity!

Thanks!

So I'm sending an actual experience. SAS has integrated and a few weeks ago it even started showing on the app that I have free baggage on Flying Blue Gold, even on the Go Light fare.
I have a SAS Go Light fare and the SAS website shows me that I am entitled to two bags per person - see attached print. Pelican, through whom I bought the tickets, again tells me that I am only entitled to one bag. So now I'm slightly confused as to what to believe:) I suppose the info on the SAS website is key.
Often these inaccuracies happen because the airline does not list the personal item as baggage. That's probably why Pelican only claims 1 standard carry-on bag.
Thanks:)
