Paris Orly Airport in a nutshell
Paris' second largest airport is located 18 km south of the city centre and is one of the busiest in Europe. Orly specialises in domestic flights and routes to the French overseas departments or North Africa, as well as selected low-cost airlines.
If you are looking for information on the larger of the Paris airports, go to Charles de Gaulle CDG Airport.
Several airlines have bases at Orly Airport, and you can buy tickets mainly on these websites:
- Transavia.com - the largest airline at Orly with flights throughout Europe and to North Africa
- Vueling.com - flights to many European destinations
- easyJet.com - the cheapest domestic flights and routes to Europe
- frenchbee.com - long-haul low-cost flights to the USA, Tahiti or Reunion

Okay, good,
I downloaded the IDF Mobilites app to my mobile. How do I buy a Navigo Pass for a week? Do I have to physically buy the card in Paris first and then pair it with my phone? Can't I buy it directly through the app? I am also registered in the app..
Thank you for your reply..
good morning, i cannot find information anywhere - when i buy a ticket for line 14 from/to the airport i have to buy it on this card/phone? it is not possible to buy it on paper? Also, I am travelling with a child who does not have a phone, if it is not possible to buy the traditional "paper" form, how do I buy a ticket for the child?
Hello, yes, you have to upload the ticket to the Navigo Easy card, which costs €2 to issue (you pay the full amount in the machine, i.e. €2 + €10.30 fare). However, you are free to load additional fares onto this card at all machines in Paris.
If your child is over 4 years old, they need their own ticket, i.e. Navigo Easy.
For the use of others, I'll describe our alternative journey (I didn't want to pay 14,- EUR per person for the metro line 14) from Orly airport to the city centre in June 2026. After landing at T3 in the morning, it took us about 10-15 min to get to the T7 tram station, where we bought a daily Navigo Pass for 2 + 12,30 EUR at a vending machine at the stop. When switching to English, it was quite intuitive. And then it was just a matter of getting to the tram terminus to the metro line 7 and from there to the centre. It was about 30 minutes longer, but the price was 28,- EUR less for two people ......... And on the flight back home we did the same. I was just quite surprised that we travelled by tram to the airport alone, this alternative way is not even used by many locals. But you need to give yourself enough time, the tram goes quite slowly. note: not far from the tram terminus there is a nice Turkish kebab shop where we ate very well for reasonable prices, at the airport the price would be at least 2x higher
note: now I also read that it is stated on this website that for this trip of ours the all day Navigo Pass is not valid ??? don't know if this is true, but we had no problem with the daily Navigo Pass .........
Nope, the one-day Navigo doesn't apply except for the train and metro, the tram is fine that way.
We did the same thing in April, except we were there for four days, so we just bought a single ticket to the terminus, where we bought that personalized Navigo for five days. And the nice thing about it is that it's also valid on the metro to Orly, so it saves time on the way back.
This is not news, just read the Transportation tab.
Yes, thanks for the heads up. I did indeed have a note on the tram that it doesn't have all-day Navigo. Already corrected.
