Transportation to the airport is provided only by taxis or hotel minibuses. There are no public transport buses to Ilulissat Airport.

Hotel shuttle

The vast majority of official hotels offer a free transfer from/to the airport by shared minibus.

This always runs by prior arrangement from the hotel, which must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

Taxi

Taxis work well in Ilulissat and are the main means of transport for tourists and locals.

There may be no cars waiting outside the terminal, however, taxi drivers in Ilulissat keep track of scheduled arrivals and usually a taxi will show up at the airport without being hailed within 5-15 minutes of arrival.

Taxis can be paid for by card or in Danish Kroner and the price is calculated according to the meter. The price to the city centre is around 150 dkk.

Public transport - bus

There is one bus service in Ilulissat (see detailed information in the Ilulissat guide), but it does not go to the airport.
