Zanzibar Abeid Amani Karume International Airport in a nutshell
Tanzania' s second largest airport is located on the popular island of Zanzibar, about 9 kilometres from the historic town of Stone Town.
The main part of the routes are operated by the smallest aircraft to nearby tourist destinations, safaris on the mainland or Tanzania's largest city Dar es Salaam.
However, there are also many direct flights to Zanzibar from abroad, including charter flights for tour operators.
For example, the following airlines operate regular international flights to Zanzibar:
- Air France - Paris
- Air Tanzania - Dubai, Nairobi
- Condor - Frankfurt
