Ke’Anae

The small peninsula on the road from Kahului to Hana can be considered a typical Hawaiian village.
Small garden houses, farms, a wooden church, palm trees and a dramatic rocky coastline won't make you want to leave. The serenity and tranquility radiate from here, stay here ideally for lunch.

Ke'Anae doesn't appear in many guidebooks, which is why you should stop here. Wander through the village, sit by the jagged coastline and take a picnic break as you wander the famous Road to Hana.
Then, above the village, you can visit the Ke'Anae Arboretum, a small botanical garden with a display of typical Maui trees, including the rainbow eucalyptus you've already encountered a few miles before Ke'Anae.
