We're talking about the beautiful Orient Beach in the French part of St. Martin. The surrounding area is filled with a luxury resort with many apartments and holiday villas, and the overall ambience of the beach and its surroundings is therefore very nice and well-kept.

Beach facilities

Orient Beach is entirely covered in fine white sand. Occasionally there is seaweed on the shore, but it usually doesn't bother anyone.

The entrance to the water is very gradual and on most of the beach comfortable sandy. This is also why Orient Beach is great for families with small children.

You can rent sunbeds and umbrellas in many places (approx 30 eur per set for the whole day) and use several beach bars and restaurants.

However, due to its length, you'll also find plenty of space on Orient Beach for yourself if you don't want to rent a sunbed.

Water sports and snorkelling

The eastern side of St Martin is often windy, making Orient Beach a great place for windsurfing or kitesurfing.

There are several equipment rental shops and windsurfing schools on the beach.

The southern part of the beach is protected by a small bay and even in the wind the water is calm. The bottom here is more rocky and therefore the southern end offers good conditions for easy recreational snorkelling.

Beachfront accommodation

There are dozens of excellent apartments and luxury hotels in the immediate vicinity of the beach.

Prices for the cheapest apartments start at 170 eur per night. In this category we would recommend the following accommodation:

If you prefer a luxury hotel without compromise right on the beach, check out the prices and availability at Orient Beach Hotel ****.

How to get to the beach

The best way to get to the beach is by car. There are large free car parks in several locations just off the beach.

Minibuses along the route Marigot - Grand Case - Fr. Quartier (Orléans) pass only on the main road about 1 km from the beach with a frequency of 2-3 times per hour.
