Isola Asinara

Stintino is a popular resort on the north-western tip of Sardinia and one of the starting points for a trip to the island of Asinara.

In the tiny town of Stintino you will find a wide selection of restaurants, several grocery and beach shops, but especially a nice beach with the "nurago", a historic tower on the islet.

La Pelosa beach

Stintina's most beautiful beach lies in the district of La Pelosa, about 4 km from Stintina. Many people even consider this beach, with its incredibly turquoise coloured water, to be the most beautiful in the whole of Sardinia.

La Pelosa beach is covered with fine white sand, the clear turquoise sea is very shallow, making it ideal for families with children or those who love warm water. The view from the beach is dominated by the historic 1572 Torre della Peolsa defensive tower on the adjacent islet, with the island of Piana in the background.

The beach has everything from sun lounger and umbrella rentals and pedal boats to a wide selection of beach bars and refreshments.

Beach entrance fees and reservations

La Pelosa beach is only accessible by prior online booking. The daily visitor limit is set at 1,500 and, especially in August, we recommend booking up to a month in advance.

The booking fee is 3,50 eur.
