Golfo Aranci

Golfo Aranci

The town of Golfo Aranci is a world famous and renowned resort adjacent to the Emerald Coast.

The 10 most luxurious hotels in Sardinia

Golfo Aranci lies on a narrow peninsula surrounded by about 20 smaller beaches and a beautiful hilly landscape of pine trees and limestone cliffs.

Beaches and swimming

The most beautiful beaches stretch in a strip of coastline from Golfo Aranci about 10 km to the southwest.

Expect smaller beaches with fine light sand and typically Sardinian clear sea water. All beaches provide basic facilities in the form of sunbed and umbrella hire or bars.

You can visit the beautiful beaches right in Golfo Aranci, and the popular beaches of Spiaggia Bianca and Spiaggia Cala Sassari are about 5 km from the town. These can only be reached by car.

Cape Figari

To the east of the town, you can walk along a signposted dirt track to the rocky promontory of Capo Figari with its breathtaking views of the peninsula, the bay and the open sea.

The path itself is about 5km each way and, due to the hilly terrain, you need to wear at least trainers.

Accommodation Golfo Aranci

In Golfo Aranci you will benefit from a wide range of accommodation from guesthouses with prices around 120 eur per night for 2 to 4* hotels that attack the 260 eur per night limit in a double room.

If you're thinking of staying in Golfo Aranci, don't hesitate to book, the best and cheapest deals tend to sell out months in advance.

Transportation

Golfo Aranci is very accessible by public transport. At least 1-2 times an hour there is a train from the local station to Olbia (for a price 2,50 eur), where you can change trains to Sassari or Cagliari. Check timetables on Trenitalia.com.

You can also take the 610 bus to Olbia.
