Stavanger Sola Airport in a nutshell

Preikestolen

Sola Airport, about 14 km south of Stavanger, is the third largest in Norway. As well as being a hub for business travel to Norway’s major oil industry centre, Stavanger is an extremely popular starting point for tourist routes around the fjords or to the famous Preikestolen viewpoint.

Most of the traffic is handled by domestic and short-haul international flights, mainly to Western Europe, the UK, the Nordic countries and Poland. The majority of flights are operated by SAS and Norwegian.

The airport is home to a large helicopter base, which transports workers to the oil platforms.
