Kulusuk is a military base and one of the 5 international airports in Greenland and the main entry point to the east coast, known for its beautiful fjords.

The main destination for travellers is the town of Tasiilaq, which can be reached from Kulusuk in 45 minutes by boat or 10 minutes by helicopter, see Transport section.

The airport terminal is very small and can be walked through in less than 1 minute. Just arrive 40 minutes before your flight.

You will not go through any security checks before a domestic flight, whereas you will always go through standard security before an international departure.

Scheduled flights are operated by two airlines:

• Air Greenland - direct flights to Nuuk
• Icelandair - summer seasonal direct flights to Iceland ( Keflavik Airport)
