Where are the arrivals and departures?
Sabiha Gökcen Airport has one terminal that handles all international and domestic flights.

The terminal is considerably smaller than Istanbul's other airport, IST, and it only takes about 10 minutes to get from security to the far gate. Therefore, keep an eye on the gate number on the information boards and allow plenty of time.

When to arrive at the airport?
General recommendations:
- 2 hours before departure - domestic flights within Turkey
- 3 hours before departure - international flights
Sabiha Gökcen Airport is one of the most congested airports in Turkey and security checks can be busy, especially during the morning and evening rush hours.
I spent well over 30 minutes in line for security + passport control on several occasions.
Night arrivals and departures
Istanbul SAW Airport operates 24 hours a day and many long-haul flights arrive or depart at night.
If you have a very early morning departure or night arrival, it may be practical to stay overnight at the airport.

Could someone tell me if there are machines at SAW airport to buy the IstanbulKart that accept cards as a payment method?
We are considering paying for transport with contactless cards but I see that it gives problems, is that true? Do you know if the Marmaray can be paid with contactless?
Are there any ATMs at SAW airport that do not charge commission? They talk about ING but I don't know if it is true.

I haven't had any problems with contactless payment on the subway and buses. I have not used Marmaray.
