Antalya

Antalya Airport uses 2 terminals designated as T1, T2.

Terminal 1 has a domestic and an international section which are combined in one building, while Terminal 2 is located approximately 1 km to the south as a separate building - the latter serves as international only.

Security and passport control

Passport control takes place on arrival and departure. Although there may be visually long queues, you will rarely wait longer than 30 minutes.

The classic security checkpoint is located, as at all airports, between the public and transit areas.

In addition, however, you must go through baggage screening when entering the terminal from the outside.

Moving between terminals

Transfer between T1 and T2 is possible by free airport bus running in the public area.

The stops are always in front of the departure halls and are clearly marked with a large orange sign.

The bus between the terminals runs twice an hour during the winter and up to 4 times an hour during the summer season.

Transfer between flights

Antalya Airport is not a typical transfer hub, but some airlines - notably Pegasus Airlines and SunExpress - also offer guaranteed connecting flights.

International <-> International

There is no need to leave the transit zone for this type of transfer.

However, the transfer must be guaranteed or you must have a boarding pass for the connecting flight and travel with hand luggage only.

  • baggage on transfer - will be transferred automatically
  • security check - yes
  • passport control - no
  • average transfer time - 30 to 40 minutes

International <-> Domestic

In this case you must always leave the transit zone, collect your luggage and check in again.

Often there is a transfer between Terminal 1 and 2, which is arranged by a free bus running through the public area (stops are outside the departure terminals).

  • Transfer baggage - you must collect and re-check in
  • security check - yes
  • passport control - yes
  • average transfer time - 60 to 75 minutes
