Transport from Antalya Airport: My Tips

Antalya

There are three main ways to get to the city centre from Antalya Airport:

  • 🚋 by tram (the fastest and busiest)
  • 🚌 by city buses (for direct access to Lara and Konyaalti beaches)
  • 🚖 taxi or Uber (most convenient but most expensive)

One important thing to note: the tram only goes to terminal 1, while terminal 2 is about 1,5 km away and the tram does not go to it.

If you arrive at terminal 2, you can use the airport shuttle bus between the terminals to the tram, the city bus directly from terminal 2 or a taxi.

If you are flying with a tour operator, a bus to your hotel will be provided - look for your tour operator's delegate on arrival.

Transportation with travel agencies

If you have bought a tour to Turkey with a travel agency (flight + accommodation + airport transfer), you pick up your luggage and walk out of the transit zone.

Outside, directly in front of the arrival halls of both international terminals, there are desks of each tour operator where you check in and the delegate will give you the number of your bus.

Antray Tram

The fast-running Antray tram provides the most convenient transport from the airport.

The T1A line connects the airport with:

  • Antalya's historic centre
  • the main Otogar bus station

The tram stops only at Terminal 1.

From Terminal 2 you can take the free airport bus between the terminals (runs 2-4 times per hour depending on the season).

Be careful when travelling from the city centre: the T1B tram also runs on the same route to the Expo terminus and passes by the airport.

Tickets and fares

Fares are valid for 60 minutes and allow transfers.

There are several options:

  • own payment card - 41 try
  • AntalyaKart (transport card) - 38 try

AntalyaKart (transport card - transport card) - AntalyaKart can be bought in vending machines:

  • one-time card - 20 try non-refundable amount, you can choose a card with credit 76 try or 152 try
  • classic reloadable card - 100 try (you can load any amount on it), it is usually not worthwhile for tourists

AntalyaKart machines can be found outside the entrance to the tram station (downstairs on the pavement and upstairs in front of the turnstiles). There are machines at every tram stop in the centre.

Intervals and journey times

  • Frequency: 17 minutes
  • Journey times
    • Antalya centre - approx. 40 minutes
    • Otogar bus station - approx. 50 minutes
  • First connection from the centre (İsmetpaşa) - 5:47
  • Last connection from the airport - 0:05

Buses 400, 600 and 800

City buses are the only public transport that serves all terminals of Antalya Airport.

How to pay your fare

The fare is valid for 60 minutes and allows transfers.

There are several options:

  • own payment card - 41 try for line 400, or 82 try for lines 600 and 800
  • AntalyaKart (transport card) - 38 try for line 400, or 76 try for lines 600 and 800

AntalyaKart can be bought at the vending machines:

  • one-time card - 20 try non-refundable amount, you can choose a card with credit 76 try or 152 try
  • classic reloadable card - 100 try (you can load any amount on it), it is usually not worthwhile for tourists

However, the AntalyaKart machines are only outside Terminal 1 - specifically on the pavement between the domestic arrivals hall and the bus stop. At Terminal 2, you cannot buy an AntalyaKart anywhere, so you can only pay for the bus with your own contactless card.

Where to find the stops?

The bus stops are not clearly marked and there is no information on them - only a shelter with the logo of the transport company.

The bus stop at Terminal 2 is located in front of the departure terminal, next to the shuttle bus stop that runs between the terminals.

At Terminal 1, you will find the stop outside the domestic section departure hall about 20 metres next to the shuttle bus stop that runs between the terminals.

Taxi / Uber

Especially from Terminal 2, which is not served by tram, the quickest way to the centre is by taxi.

Official taxis always have to use a taximeter.

The journey to the centre of Antalya costs around 15 eur (or the equivalent in Turkish lira, the value of which is constantly changing due to high inflation).

Uber also operates in Antalya, but only so that only official taxis can be hailed through it. The advantage is that you can pay with a card stored in the Uber app.

Car rental

Want to explore the Turkish Riviera and the whole of southern Turkey on your own? Then we definitely recommend renting a car right at the airport.

There are many local and multinational rental companies at the airport. The cheapest reputable rental companies, Alamo or Enterprise, start with prices from 250 eur per week.

Rental car counters are located in the arrival halls of all terminals.
