Lufthansa Lounge at London Heathrow Airport
German airline Lufthansa operates up to 20 flights a day to London Heathrow LHR and therefore has its own lounge in Terminal 2.
It was completely refurbished in January 2025 and is now a pleasant place to wait for departures.

Space and atmosphere
The Lufthansa Lounge is divided into two sections like most other Lufthansa Group airline lounges:
- Business Class Lounge - a spacious area for passengers with a business class ticket.
- Senator/Star Alliance Gold - I visited this section and it belongs to all passengers with Star Alliance Gold status.
Although many airports have better food and drink offerings in the Senator Lounge, in the London Lufthansa Lounge the food and drink is identical in the Business and Senator Lounge.
The only difference is better seats and a slightly more intimate atmosphere at first glance.
Ironically, however, the Senator Lounge was busier at the time of my visit, so I prefer to spend my time in the Business Lounge.
Most of the lounge is taken up by comfortable chairs perfect for relaxing, but not so suitable for eating or working on a laptop.
There are a few classic dining tables at the food counters, as well as high tables with bar stools.
Overall, the lounge feels airy and light and has a view of the airport tarmac, although this is largely obstructed by large blinds to keep out the sun.

Food and drink on offer
The refreshment counters are located compactly all in one part of the lounge to the right of the entrance.
Food
The hot food menu is not particularly extensive - one classic dish (chicken and vegetables at the time of my visit), rice, soup and a vegetarian dish.
However, the food is tasty and nutritionally well balanced, so I was actually satisfied. For a lounge where only European flights are headed, the selection is sufficient.
The cold food includes several different vegetable dishes.
At the next counter you can grab pretzels or bagels with great salted butter.
There is also a small counter with fruit, sweets and sweet pastries. I'm gradually trying a little of everything and not once am I disappointed.
Drinks
The alcoholic drinks on offer are good for a European lounge - especially when it comes to spirits and liqueurs.
Of the wines, there are 4 types of white and 4 types of red.
Non-alcoholic drinks are represented by the classic post-mix with Fanta Coca-Cola and Sprite, as well as three containers - with water and two types of quality juice.
Coffee and tea
You can prepare your own coffee in several coffee machines.
I've had better, but also much worse. I would describe the coffee drinks as decent average.
You can also choose from 6 types of tea in a small wooden box.
Lounge facilities
The other lounge amenities are very basic.
Showers
There are no showers available in the Lufthansa Lounge at Heathrow.
Wi-fi
Internet access is available via free wi-fi.
The internet speed is very good and suitable for playing and downloading videos.
Charging plugs
Plugs for charging electronics are available for most chairs and all work surfaces in really large quantities!
All plugs are "universal" only, and usually have USB-A and USB-C ports added to them as well.
Workspaces
Just inside the entrance to the lounge are several tables perfect for working on a laptop.
You'll even find an erary computer with a printer where you can print any number of documents for free.
Convenient for undisturbed work are 2 completely lockable cubicles.
Phone booth
For uninterrupted phone calls, there is a special soundproof booth at the entrance designed just for these cases.
Children's corners
There is no children's corner in the Lufthansa Lounge LHR.
Conclusion and my rating
