Costa Adeje is one of the largest and most modern resorts in the Canary Islands. It is the northernmost of the three resorts (Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas) in the large tourist area in the south of the island and offers everything to suit all types of traveller. Beaches and swimming

The beaches in Costa Adeje are all clean and immaculately maintained, and slope gently into the sea. All the beaches here are covered incoarse black volcanic sand. Everywhereyou go, you’ll find sun lounger and parasol hire, restaurants, bars and water sports on offer.

• Playa deFañabé– the largest local beach, right in the town centre, offers a kilometre-long stretch close to all the hotels and amenities
• Playa de la Pinta– a smaller town beach not far from the harbour, ideal for a morning or evening swim; it tends to get crowded during the day
• Playa de El Bobo– a lively beach at the very southern end of the resort, close to nightclubs and casinos. It tends to be quieter in the morning and early afternoon, but gets very busy late in the evening
• Playa del Duque– a small, pretty beach in the north of the town offering greater privacy both during the day and in the evening

Beautiful natural sandy beaches stretch north of Costa Adeje between the towns of La Caleta and Callao Salvaje. The rocky coastline is occasionally interrupted by sandy beaches with no facilities, but with very few people.

Much like neighbouring Playa de las Américas, Costa Adeje is a man-made town consisting entirely of apartment and hotel complexes. Costa Adeje is situated on the main coastal motorway, 80 km from Santa Cruz de Tenerife and 21 km from Tenerife Sur Airport (TFS).

Although parking in public car parks is free, there aren’t many of them, and most spaces are taken up by hotel car parks reserved for guests only.
