It is the northernmost of the three resorts(Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas) of the large tourist zone in the south of the island and offers all facilities for all types of travellers. In Costa Adeje, nightlife lovers will enjoy the many bars, restaurants and discos, as well as families with children in the quieter parts of town.

A beautiful promenade full of restaurants and shops runs along the entire coastline.

Beaches and swimming

The beaches in Costa Adeje are all clean and well-maintained, and slope gently into the sea. All the beaches here are covered in black, coarse volcanic sand. Everywhere you'll enjoy a range of sunbed and umbrella hire, restaurants, bars and water activities.

  • Playa de Fañabé - the largest local beach right in the centre of town offers a kilometre long strip close to all the hotels and facilities
  • Playa de la Pinta - a smaller town beach near the harbour ideal for morning or evening swimming, tends to be crowded during the day
  • Playa de El Bobo - a busy beach in the very south of the resort near the discos and casinos. It is usually emptier in the morning and morning, but late in the evening it is crowded
  • Playa del Duque - a smaller, pretty beach in the north of the town provides more privacy during the day and evening

Beautiful natural sandy beaches lie north of Costa Adeje between the towns of La Caleta and Callao Salvaje. The rocky coastline is occasionally interrupted by sandy beaches with no facilities but very few people.

If you get tired of the beaches, have fun at the huge Siam Park water theme park located by the motorway in the south of Costa Adeje.
