Wizz Air opens base in Bratislava: 4 aircraft and 27 destinations

The latest news from Bratislava BTS Airport reports the expansion of the upcoming Wizz Air air base. Ahead of the base opening on 24 November 2025, Wizz Air has announced the addition of two more Airbus A320 Neo aircraft with a capacity of 239 passengers. A total of 4 aircraft will be based at Bratislava Airport. They will serve 27 routes across Europe, including one domestic route to Košice.
New routes from autumn
At a press conference in mid-August, it was announced that the base will be moved from Vienna VIE Airport to Bratislava. The originally planned two aircraft were to connect Bratislava with 12 routes, namely:
- Alicante ALC - 3 times a week
- Athens ATH - 3x weekly
- Barcelona BCN - daily
- Basel BSL - 4x weekly
- Lamezia Terme SUF - 2x weekly
- Málaga AGP - 2x per week
- Naples NAP - 4x weekly
- Niš INI - 4 times a week
- Oslo OSL - 3x per week
- Palermo PMO - 4x per week
- Plovdiv PDV - 3x per week
- Varna VAR - 3x per week
Most of the routes will start operating during November and December 2025.
Latest routes from spring
Today, the airline announced the addition of two more Airbus A320 Neo aircraft, adding the following destinations from spring 2026:
- Košice KSC - 9 times weekly
- Larnaca LCA - 3x weekly
- Chisinau RMO - 3x weekly
- Berlin BER - 4x weekly
- Dortmund DTM - 3x weekly
- Rome Fiumicino FCO - daily
- Tirana TIA - 3x weekly
- Ohrid OHD - 3x weekly
- Pristina PRN - 4x weekly
- Tel Aviv TLV - 5x weekly
- Tuzla TZL - 4x weekly
- Warsaw WAW - 5x weekly
Most routes are on sale with 20 eur one-way fares, including the domestic connection between Bratislava and Košice, which will be subsidised by the government in the long term.
