Tulum Airport in Mexico opened in 2023 and serves as a secondary gateway to the popular Mayan Riviera on the Yucatán Peninsula.
The new terminal was built to relieve pressure on Cancún CUN, the main airport 125 km away, which struggles with insufficient capacity on certain days during the peak season.
The nearest resort, Tulum, is 44 km from the airport.
Tulum is currently served by frequent domestic flights, particularly from Mexico City, and many regular flights to the USA and Canada.
