Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport in a nutshell
The small Shizuoka International Airport directly mentions Mount Fuji in its name, referring to its proximity to Japan's iconic highest mountain.
It is about 50 km away as the crow flies, so while Shizuoka is the closest airport to the mountain, it is much more convenient to use Tokyo's main airport , Haneda, for travel to the most touristy area around Lake Kawaguchiko.

The airport has one terminal, a small modern and very uncluttered building.

- 1st floor - shops, restaurants, security checkpoint and departure gates
