The cheapest one-way tickets for 7 eur are sold by Terravision and Sit Bus, while the cheapest return tickets for 9,90 eur can be purchased from Rome Airport Bus. The other two carriers have a return ticket for 11 eur.

You can also use a 24-hour ticket for 8,50 eur, a 48-hour ticket for 15 eur or a 72-hour ticket for 22 eur. Tickets can be bought at the "Roma" information booth in the arrivals hall.

Bus + train
An alternative, and often the quickest, combination of a Trenitalia AirLink shuttle bus to Ciampino station and a train to Rome's main Termini station.
A ticket for 2,70 eur can be purchased on Trenitalia's website, where you can also get the exact timetable, or from a machine in the arrivals hall (still in the baggage reclaim room) or at the station. Don't confuse the airports - there are two in Rome, the larger Fiumicino and Ciampino.
Buses from Cimapino always connect to the train and run every 15 to 40 minutes during the day (up to 75 minutes at weekends) and you can check the exact timetable on the website: trenitalia.com/ciampino-airlink.
The journey takes between 35 and 45 minutes in total.

Taxi
Regular taxis and apps cost about the same to get to the centre of Rome. 40 eur.
Taxis are easily available at all hours of the day and night, and there is a taxi rank right outside the arrivals hall.
There is also a mobile app called Uber in Rome, but for the price of 40 eur it will still only find you regular white taxis, which have a flat rate from Ciampino Airport.
Direct cars via Uber usually cost more - around 55 eur to 60 eur.
Rent a car
A car is definitely not recommended when travelling to the centre of Rome, but if you want to head straight to the countryside or the beaches of the Lazio region from Ciampino Airport, a car is a great option.
There are many local and large international rental companies right in the terminal. Prices for weekly rentals in the summer season start at 160 eur.
Transportation to Fiumicino Airport
Direct connections are only provided by the intercity Gaspari Bus service with irregular intervals (about once every hour or two). The timetable is not posted anywhere, but the information desk will tell you the departure times. The price per ride is 10 eur and is payable to the driver.
The only other way is with a transfer at the main station (Termini). The total journey takes at least 120 minutes. Allow a minimum of 4 hours to transfer between flights.
