London Luton Airport in a nutshell
The airport is situated 55 km north of central London and serves almost exclusively low-cost carriers, led by Wizz Air and easyJet. Ryanair also operates a significant number of flights from Luton, although its main base is at the nearby London Stansted Airport.
Its competitive advantage over other London airports lies in the relatively small size of the terminal, its well-organised layout and, consequently, shorter check-in times.
Thanks to its location, Luton Airport is also ideal for trips to Oxford (84 km) or the Harry Potter film studios (30 km).
