Getting from Kuala Lumpur Subang Airport

Although Subang Airport is connected to public transport, it is by far the most straightforward to use an official taxi or cab via the Grab app.
The train is out of service for long periods of time and finding a bus stop is not exactly easy at first glance.
Taxi / Grab
The official red airport taxis have a stand right outside the terminal (in the 2nd row). Prices are fixed according to the taxi meter and you will pay according to the traffic around Kuala Lumpur city centre 55 myr.
However, we recommend installing the Grab mobile app when travelling to Asia, which works great here and every hour of the day and night.
The journey from the airport to downtown is between 32 myr and 40 myr depending on current demand including 3 myr toll charges.
The Grab station is in the first row directly after the terminal exit.
Public transport - buses
Although many public transport maps show the 10 rail line as operational, providing a fast and seamless connection to the centre, the train has been out of service for a long time.
There are two Rapid KL bus routes that run along the motorway around the airport.
Fares and where to buy Touch 'n Go
Fares are set at 3 myr for both lines passing the airport. From 2025, you cannot pay bus fares in cash - you must buy a Touch 'n Go card for 10 myr, which you load with any amount of money.
The Touch n' Go card can be used on all trains, metro lines and buses in Kuala Lumpur, as well as some other cities.
At the airport, you can buy a Touch n'Go card at the Watsons pharmacy in the arrivals hall.
Bus routes and where to find the bus stop?
There are two bus routes that run around the airport:
- 772 - direct service to KL Sentral and Pasar Seni (near Central Market and Chinatown).
- Frequency - 15 to 30 minutes
- Travel time to Pasar Seni - 40 to 60 minutes depending on traffic situation
- At Ara Damansara station (about 10 minutes drive from the airport) you can transfer to Metro Line 5 to the centre, which can reduce the total journey time to 35-45 minutes and goes directly to the central area of KLCC for example

- Hotel tip near Pasar Seni: Travelodge Kula Lumpur City Centre ****
- T804 - local bus running to Kwasa Sentral metro station (metro line 9 towards downtown - Pasar Seni, Bukit Bintang
- Frequency - 60 minutes
- Travel time to Kwasa Sentral - 15 minutes
- Total travel time to downtown - 40 to 50 minutes (bus + metro)
- Opening hours - 5:30 am to 6:00 pm

The stops are hardly marked at all. You always have to wave at the arriving bus.
- Line 772 stop towards downtown - inside the terminal, go up the stairs to the 1st floor and cross the covered bridge over the highway towards the parking lot, the stop is right at the entrance to the parking lot.
- T804 line stop towards Kwasa Sentral - exit the terminal, pass the taxis and proceed directly to the highway shoulder under the pedestrian bridge pillar. There is a bus stop at about this level. However, you must quite clearly wave at the bus when you see it on the horizon - buses pass at high speed in these areas, as the drivers usually don't anticipate anyone getting on at all.
