If you don't want to deal with an early morning taxi ride to the airport due to the lack of public transport, you can arrive at the airport in the evening and stay in one of the nearby accommodations.
Most of these are private apartments or guesthouses, but many are within 400 metres of the terminal, and you can always walk to the terminal by footpath.
Hotels near the airport
- Catania International Airport Hotel - a 4* hotel about 1.5 km from the terminal, it is the best accommodation in the vicinity, with prices from 103 eur
- Bed and Fly Aeroporto Catania - simple guesthouse 800 metres from the airport, prices from 48 eur
- Magnolia Boutique Rooms - the closest accommodation to the airport directly opposite the terminal offers beautiful modern rooms and a walking distance of 2 minutes, prices from 110 eur
Hotels in the centre
If you prefer to stay in the centre and close to transport links to the airport, the best location is around the main station.
Overnight stays in the terminal
Terminal A remains open 24 hours a day, but there are no comfortable seats.
Sleeping in the terminal is therefore extremely uncomfortable. There are minimal seats in the public area and all the lights are fully lit even at night. The only quieter place is near the McDonald's restaurant on the departure level.
