Eurowings will only offer a small hand luggage allowance in the basic fare. If you need to travel with more luggage, it must be purchased as an additional service or as a higher fare.
Hand luggage
Your ticket includes 1 piece of hand luggage of the following dimensions:
- 40 x 30 x 25 cm
There is no weight limit. Additional baggage is a matter of additional services or tickets issued in SMART or BIZclass tariffs.
Large hand luggage
If you have SMART or BIZclass tickets, you are entitled to 2 pieces of hand luggage free of charge. One smaller one see above and one larger one of the following dimensions:
- 55 x 40 x 23 cm and 8 kg.
You can also add this second bag to your BASIC ticket via the 2 Cabin Bags and Priority Boarding service. The price is around 19 eur per flight.
Checked baggage
Checked baggage limits again depend on the fare you choose.
The BASIC fare does not include any checked baggage and you have the option to purchase baggage up to 12kg, 23kg or 32kg. The usual price is from 17 eur to 67 eur per flight and baggage.
The SMART fare includes 1 checked bag up to 23 kg.
For the BIZclass fare, two checked bags of up to 32 kg each are included in the ticket price.

You can add luggage during booking or up to 2 hours before check-in, when you save half the airport price.
Strollers and luggage for children
If you are travelling with children, you are entitled to free carriage of 2 of the items listed below:
- Stroller
- Seat
- Carrier
For children 2-11 years old, the same baggage allowances apply as for adults.
When travelling with infants (0-2 years), you are entitled to free carriage of 1 extra small hand luggage and 23 kg of checked baggage, regardless of the fare on which your tickets are purchased.
Pets on board
Eurowigns allows the carriage of animals, but only on board and on short and medium haul flights.
A dog, cat or other smaller animal must be in a crate with a maximum size of 55 x 40 x 23 cm with a waterproof bottom. The animal must be over 12 weeks old.
The price for carrying an animal on board is 60 eur per flight or more.
Sports equipment
Transportation of sports equipment must be requested and paid for prior to departure.
You can transport a bicycle, snowboard, skis, surfboard or anything else up to a maximum weight of 32 kg. The price for sports equipment is from 60 eur per flight.
Electric bikes are not transported.
